Bay Area begins transition from rainy and windy to sunny and cold
Briefly

The Bay Area experienced a gradual transition from rain to sunshine as the last storm moved out. Occasional rain lingered until Friday afternoon, leading to sunny weather forecasted for the weekend and early next week. Despite this, temperatures are expected to be quite low, with highs in the mid-50s and lows potentially dipping below freezing. A frost advisory and freeze warning were issued, but calming winds and drier conditions are expected to alleviate some flooding risks from the saturated soil.
NWS meteorologist Roger Gass mentioned that the transition to drier weather is merely the pace of the storm, as moisture from the last rain continues.
The sunny weather is anticipated to prevail through the weekend and into early next week, despite cold temperatures in the 30s and 50s expected.
