Ra'Lasia Wright, a 25-year-old Black Latina transgender woman, was found dead from a gunshot wound in Minneapolis late last year. Her friends and family, after receiving an SOS text from her phone, discovered her body in a nearby driveway. The investigation has seen no arrests as of yet, leading her loved ones to express frustration at the Minneapolis Police Department's slow progress. During a memorial vigil, friends called for justice and answers, emphasizing their deep loss and the impact Wright had on their lives as a mentor and friend.

This community is too big for somebody not to see something, something is getting hidden, and if somebody knows something, they need to speak up.
Without her, there's no me. You know, she paved the way for me, and my sister is gone.
