Body recovered in search for rock climber missing overnight on Cork coast
"The alarm was raised by the girlfriend of the man - understood to be from Italy - shortly before 8.30pm yesterday. It is believed he was in the area to take part in abseiling activities and went climbing just east of the Baltimore Beacon, in an area known as Fox's Cliff. It is understood some of the man's climbing gear was found at the top of the cliffs."
"Valentina Coast Guard and both Shannon and Waterford-based coast guard helicopters were involved in a search since the alarm was raised for the 27-year-old. The operation was postponed last night at around 12.45am and resumed this morning. It has now been confirmed by the local RNLI that a body has been recovered as part of the search operation, just off the coast of the West Cork village."
