Following the recent rains, a chill is sweeping across the Bay Area, with the first frost advisory of the season in effect from Wednesday night into Thanksgiving morning.
Temperatures are expected to drop to near-freezing in some areas, particularly in the inland East Bay and North Bay, which may lead to frost formation on sensitive plants.
NWS meteorologist Rick Kaplan explains that high pressure moving in from the Pacific Northwest is ushering in cold air while clearing out the recent rain.
This Thanksgiving will be particularly crisp in the Bay Area, with San Francisco experiencing highs around 58 degrees while inland areas feel even colder at night.
