California sheriff employee admits to forging grandmother's checks, fraudulently using her credit card

Roxana C. Laub, a civilian employee of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, pleaded guilty to forging tens of thousands in checks and credit card fraud against her grandmother.

In admitting her crimes, Laub confessed to forging her 75-year-old grandmother's signature on over 20 checks and charging thousands on her credit card for personal expenses.

Laub expressed regret in a text recovered by federal agents, stating, 'I know what I did is unforgiveable,' as she faces the consequences of her actions.

The ongoing administrative investigation by the Orange County Sheriff's Department could lead to severe disciplinary actions, including potential termination from her position.
