Child among three people killed in Russian attack on Kyiv that also sparked fire at government building

"An infant is among three people who have died in Russian attacks that injured 18 in Kyiv and set on fire scores of buildings in the capital, including a government building, Ukrainian officials say. Kyiv's mayor, Vitali Klitschko, on Sunday said a fire had broken out at the government building in the city centre after the overnight attack, which began with drones raining down followed by missile strikes. Reuters witnesses saw thick smoke rising from the building in the city's Pecherskyi district."

Russian overnight attacks struck Kyiv with drones followed by missile strikes, igniting fires and damaging scores of buildings including a government building in the Pecherskyi district. Three people died, including an infant, a young woman and an elderly woman who died in a bomb shelter, and 18 people were injured. A pregnant woman was among five injured admitted to hospital. In Sviatoshynskyi several floors of a nine-storey residential building were partially destroyed and falling drone debris set fires in a 16-storey apartment building and two other buildings. Dozens of explosions also shook Kremenchuk, cutting power to some areas, while strikes in Kryvyi Rih targeted transport and urban infrastructure with no reported injuries. The head of the capital's military administration accused Russia of deliberately striking civilian targets.
