Stephen Donnelly emphasized the delayed completion of a children’s hospital, stating that after a thorough discussion with Royal Bam’s CEO, they assured him of a June 2025 deadline for the project.
While the estimated cost of the hospital ballooned from €65m in 2014 to €2.2bn, Donnelly insists on accountability, mentioning the need for a detailed work programme with engagement from the National Paediatric Development Board.
Donnelly highlighted the urgency for increased manpower, stating, "They simply have not had enough workers on site, there have not been enough people on site finishing off that hospital." He firmly requested more resources to expedite completion.
