Chilean authorities have confirmed that President Gabriel Boric is under criminal investigation for allegations of sexual harassment, stemming from a complaint filed in September.
Attorney General Cristian Crisosto stated that a special investigative team is looking into the case, which involves allegations that Boric leaked private images.
Boric's attorney claims the President is actually a victim of systematic harassment, pointing out that the complaint arises from unsolicited emails sent to him.
Boric, who took office in March 2022, faces these allegations amidst another scandal regarding former Undersecretary Manuel Monsalve's accusations of rape against a subordinate.
