Cold snap coming: Snow possible as Met Eireann says temperatures will plummet below freezing
Briefly

Brandon Creagh from Met Éireann stated, "As it hits the cold air, which is just to the north of us, it's going to bring some wintry falls." This indicates how the cold snap could lead to inclement weather across the region.
Mr. Creagh noted, "Wintry falls are mostly going to be confined to higher ground, so snowfall is not looking like it's going to be a widespread thing," providing insight on where the snowfall is expected to be concentrated.
Highlighting the upcoming weather changes, Creagh said, "Once that low pressure moves away during the week, we get put into a sharp northerly airflow, which is going to pull down some Arctic air. We will get some significant frost and ice."
He also said, "Tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday are likely to be the coldest nights of the week, as overnight temperatures will drop below freezing to between -2C and -4C," indicating the severity of the upcoming cold snap.
