Andrew Taake, a Texas man previously convicted for assaulting police officers during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, has become a fugitive after being pardoned by President Trump. Taake was serving a 74-month sentence for attacking law enforcement with bear spray and a metal whip. Despite a history of soliciting sex from someone he believed to be a minor, he was released on Jan. 20 under the mass pardon. Local authorities wanted to transfer him back to Harris County due to unresolved charges, but he remains wanted.
