"Getting more public chargers in the ground is critical to getting more electrics on the road," according to Joe Sacks. The perception of EV range and charging reliability affects consumer adoption.
Sacks warns, "There's this scary trend where electric vehicle funding is seen as low-hanging fruit by some in the incoming administration." This reflects the political complexities surrounding EV funding.
Despite challenges, Sacks notes, "It will be very hard for the feds to claw back all of that federal charger funding. The government has already allocated at least $3.5 billion in charger money to the states."
