"If I had to take a wild guess, we probably went through a couple of drums [55 gallons per drum] easily on that film," Tinsley said, highlighting the extensive use of fake blood.
"One of the things he [Leone] told me early on that he hadn't fleshed out in the script... was 'shower scene kill.' And that's about all he had in there... I know we had to level up. We had to give something that the audience has never seen," Tinsley shared, discussing the creative process behind the shocking scene.
Baker described the final shower scene as "pretty, pretty nasty," noting it left many moviegoers vomiting or exiting the theater at the UK premiere, underscoring the film's brutal impact.
Tinsley recalled a frantic dash for materials, revealing that they "wiped out every grocery store in a 10-mile radius" to stock up on supplies for the blood in the climactic scene.
