"I first met Diarmuid Ó Tuairisg about 15 years ago when he was working behind the bar in Crowes in Bohermore. He was always someone who was kind, courteous and most definitely a people's person. Over the last few years, Diarmuid was a Garda based in Millstreet in Galway and we would meet each other at many events. He was always friendly and approachable and carried out his duties as a Garda to the highest possible standard."
"As a parish community we offer our sincere sympathies to the family, friends and relatives of Diarmuid Ó Tuairisg, The Lane, Killoughter, Castlegar, Galway / Inverin, Galway and formerly of Eallagh Estate, Headford. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Tara and their three young children Isabelle, Sadie and Blake and all the O'Tuairisg and Murphy families. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis."
