A large blaze in the docklands area of Dublin was brought under control by firefighters late Tuesday. Four fire engines, a foam tender and a water tanker responded at George's Dock in the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). Luas red line services between Busaras and The Point were suspended while the incident was ongoing; the Dublin Fire Brigade reported control at around 11.30pm. Gas Networks Ireland deployed a crew to assist fire services at the IFSC incident in Dublin 1 and stated that it was not yet known whether gas caused the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation In a statement on Tuesday evening Gas Networks Ireland said the cause of the fire was not yet known. "A Gas Networks Ireland crew is on site assisting fire services at an incident in the IFSC in Dublin 1," they said. "It is not yet known at this stage whether the cause of the fire is gas-related."
