The 56-year-old man left in critical condition was shot in the torso 9:15 p.m. Monday at an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Third Avenue in the Eastlake district, authorities said. Police said Initial reports were that there was a dispute involving several people that ended with shots being fired and the man being wounded. What the dispute was about is under investigation. No arrests have been made and no suspect information has been released.
Kay Cossington of Bay Collective, a multi-club global organization dedicated to holistic excellence and the growth of women's football, will lead the search for Bay FC's next coach alongside current Bay FC sporting director Matt Potter. The incident took place on Tucker Street in Castlebar Co. Mayo in the early hours of Saturday, August 23. Gardaí originally received report of an unconscious man after an alleged assault outside a licensed premises on Tucker Street. The injured young man was removed from the scene and taken to Mayo University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries and he remains in a critical condition at Beaumont Hospital in north Dublin.
Three people, including an elderly woman, were found dead inside their Watertown home Saturday morning, officials said. Police responded to a home on Boyd Street around 10 a.m. Saturday for a well-being check, according to the Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan. The three residents were found with apparent gunshot wounds. The elderly woman who was one of the victims lived on the upper floor of the unit, while a man and a woman lived together on the bottom floor, the DA said.
WATSONVILLE - A remote-controlled airplane that was part of a demonstration at the Fire in the Sky event at Watsonville Municipal Airport, went off course and injured two people outside of a home on Buena Vista Drive Saturday evening. According to a social media post from the city of Watsonville, two adults were injured and taken to the hospital after the RC airplane struck them.
It happened just after 7 p.m. on Saturday at Buena Vista Drive in Watsonville. The victims were struck outside of the home. One person sustained moderate injuries, and the other had "serious, but non-life-threatening injuries," authorities said. They were taken to the hospital for treatment. Photos from the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Department shows the damage to the home. It's unclear who was operating it, but Watsonville officials said it happened during a demonstration at the Fire in the Sky Open House at Watsonville Municipal Airport.
A bar owner in downtown San Jose is cleaning up the damage after a car crashed into the business late Thursday night. San Jose fire responded to the bar, along Post and First streets, shortly before 11 p.m. At least two people were taken to the hospital, but we don't know the extent of their injuries. RICHMOND - A driver for the AC Transit bus system was hospitalized Monday after being attacked aboard a bus in a case that is being investigated as possible domestic abuse, officials for the transit agency said. The violence happened about 7:35 a.m. onboard a coach bus outside the Richmond BART station, according to a statement from AC Transit spokesperson Robert Lyles.

A bus carrying a junior high football team to a game crashed on Saturday north of Pittsburgh, sending 21 of the 28 people onboard to the hospital, officials said. Twenty-five Aliquippa junior high students and three adults were headed to a game in nearby Gibsonia. The crash occurred in Economy Borough, about 20 miles north of Pittsburgh. The Economy Borough police chief, Michael O'Brien, said he didn't have information on the medical status of those taken to hospitals.
