Historic movie theaters in Somerville and Arlington bought by group of longtime managers
Briefly

Two historic theaters in Somerville and Arlington will transition ownership to CSB Theatres, Inc., retaining the same management team. While Richard Fraiman will remain the building owner, the operations will shift to CSB, where Ian Judge emphasizes that it is not a new management team but rather the longstanding staff continuing their roles. The transition, which is expected to be completed in the next two months, reflects a full-circle moment, as the theaters were once tenants of the Fraiman family.
While the ownership on paper is changing, it's really not new management, it's the same people who have managed the businesses for years.
When Richard Fraiman told me about this, I said it makes complete sense, they know what they're doing.
Presently the Fraiman family owns the buildings and also operate the theaters but under this change, they will remain landlords only.
It's actually how it was for them when they started out owning these properties years ago - both theaters were tenants then.
