Hyundai and Kia are recalling over 208,000 electric vehicles due to a critical issue that can lead to a loss of drive power, posing a significant crash risk.
The recall affects various models including the 2022-2024 Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, alongside Genesis vehicles like GV60 and GV70 due to a faulty charging control unit.
Dealers are mandated to inspect and replace the control unit and fuse, along with performing necessary software updates to address the issue effectively.
Owners impacted by earlier recalls should prepare for another dealer visit as they will receive notifications by letter in December and January regarding this ongoing concern.
