During a speech marking the 46th anniversary of the Iranian revolution, President Masoud Pezeshkian criticized US President Donald Trump's recent sanctions and diplomatic approach, asserting they aimed to destabilize Iran. Pezeshkian maintained that while Iran is not seeking conflict, it will not relent in the face of foreign pressure. He emphasized national unity in response to external challenges, as citizens rallied in large numbers across the country, demonstrating in support of their leadership and against foreign intervention.
"Trump says he wants to negotiate, yet at the same time, he signs off on every possible conspiracy to bring this revolution to its knees," Pezeshkian said.
"We are not looking for war, said Pezeshkian, adding that Iran will never bow to foreigners."
"If we join hands, we are capable of resolving all the country's problems," Pezeshkian stated, calling for national unity against external pressures.
