Lambeth Council plans to install 148 new dockless bays for e-scooters and e-bikes to enhance their existing network, encouraging active transport across the borough.
Cllr Chowdhury emphasized the importance of biking and scooting as active transport options, urging users to responsibly return vehicles to designated docking areas to maintain city convenience.
The addition of these bays is strategically planned for busy areas and residential neighborhoods with fewer options, ensuring better access and usability for e-scooter and bike users.
Operators Lime and Voi are managing the e-scooter trial, while Lime and Forest provide rental e-bikes, indicating a collaboration to sustain eco-friendly travel options.
