The Princess Project Silicon Valley, a nonprofit dedicated to providing free prom dresses to teens, faces an imminent crisis as it must vacate its current space in Santa Clara by February 15 due to new ownership. The organization, relying on volunteers, emphasizes its commitment to helping young individuals feel confident and beautiful for their special occasions. With prom season approaching and a pressing need for a new space to store dresses and conduct events, the chapter president is calling for support from the community to find a temporary location until at least April.
Stepping through the current Santa Clara home of the nonprofit is like walking through a princess's closet. But it's not royalty who gets to step out in one of the treasures found there, it's South Bay teens heading to prom.
Each student will also walk away with not only a dress, but a wonderful goodie box, said Rebecca Flores, the chapter president.
When we hear comments from the students things like, 'Thank you for making me feel pretty,' It's overwhelming and that's what makes us do what we do,
