The Government’s outdoor recreation strategy aims to sustainably grow the sector, boost outdoor activity participation, and promote responsible enjoyment of natural spaces.
Since its inception in 2016, the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme has allocated over €129 million to enhance rural outdoor amenities, benefiting more than 1,770 projects.
