A man in his 20s was brought by ambulance to Cork University Hospital following a collision on the southbound M8 (J18) at Upper Riverstown in Glanmire at approximately 6.50am. The road remains closed while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a technical examination. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision and for any road users with camera footage, including dash-cam, who were in the area between 6.40am and 7.15am to make footage available. Anyone with information is asked to contact Mayfield Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line, or any Garda station. Investigations are ongoing.
