Alistair Macrow, CEO of McDonald's UK, described the numerous allegations of abuse against workers as "abhorrent and unacceptable," emphasizing the company's commitment to improving workplace conduct.
McDonald's UK reported dismissing more than 29 employees in the past year due to sexual harassment allegations, with a total of over 100 claims of harassment, racism, and bullying against its workforce.
Internal investigations led to 75 allegations of sexual harassment, with 47 upheld, showcasing the company's extensive issues regarding harassment which still persists more than a year later.
Following a BBC investigation, over 300 reported incidents of harassment prompted the UK's equality watchdog to plan further intervention to address the ongoing issues within McDonald's.
