Motorcyclist dies following collision with car in Co Louth

Two vehicles, a van and a motorcycle, collided at John Street, Dublin Road, Drogheda shortly before 7.10am on Friday. The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, sustained critical injuries and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. He was pronounced dead on Sunday. Gardai are investigating the two-vehicle crash and are conducting inquiries. Investigating gardai have asked for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
