Rocco, a pit-bull mix, is hailed as a hero after alerting his owner Angela Murray to a serious apartment fire in Baldwinsville, NY. While asleep, Murray was awakened by Rocco’s unusually loud barking, which prompted her to investigate further. She quickly realized her apartment was on fire, and with Rocco leashed, they both escaped just in time as flames engulfed their escape route. The fire resulted in significant damage to the complex and injured one resident, but Rocco’s timely warning saved lives.
