PHOTOS: Northern Lights captured 'exploding' across the Romford skyline

Romford residents were left in awe after the sky "exploded" with colour from the Northern Lights, which were visible across the UK on October 10.

Keen photographers captured the aurora borealis' pale green, pink and purple shades, with one resident stating, "Just after midnight the sky exploded. You could see it with your eyes too."
