"We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience this caused," said American Airlines, asserting that their aircraft would undergo inspection after the wingtip incident.
"Safety is JetBlue's first priority, and we will investigate this incident," emphasized JetBlue after a tug vehicle made contact with a waiting Cape Air plane.
Both pilots and one passenger from Cape Air were transported to the hospital out of abundance of caution, but they were treated and released shortly afterwards.
The FAA is conducting investigations into both incidents, which occurred in areas not under air traffic control at Boston Logan International Airport.
