Alinejad stated, 'Whatever I do, hurts them so bad they want to kill me... That makes me more determined to give voice to Iranian women, Iranian men, fighting shoulder-to-shoulder to bring the dictatorship down.'
The indictment revealed that Carlisle Rivera and Jonathan Loadholt engaged in a plot to murder Alinejad, who had previously been targeted by the Tehran regime.
The alleged would-be killers had stalked Alinejad for nine months, illustrating the serious nature of the threats she faced as an outspoken critic of Iran.
