Gardaí received a report of a burglary at a commercial premises in Darragh, Co Clare that resulted in six cars being stolen and one vehicle recovered and seized. The unrecovered vehicles are identified by year, make, model and colour. The Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit conducted a technical examination of the scene. Gardaí appealed for witnesses to suspicious activity and urged the public to be vigilant for vehicles matching the descriptions, including those offered for sale or parked in public areas. Road users with camera or dash-cam footage on the N68 between 1am and 5am on Friday are asked to provide it. Contact details were provided and investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí received the report of the burglary at a commercial premises in Darragh, Co Clare this morning, with one of the six stolen cars since recovered and seized by gardaí. The cars which are yet to recovered include a 2014 blue Audi S3 Saloon, a 2017 navy Mercedes CLA180, a 2015 black Volkswagen Golf, a 2014 white Volkswagen Golf and a 2018 white Toyota CHR.
A technical examination of the scene has since been conducted by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit, with gardaí appealing to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area to contact them. Gardaí have urged the public to be "vigilant" for any vehicles that match the description of the stolen cars, which may be "offered for sale, or which may be parked up in public carparks, housing estates, etc." A garda spokesperson asked that any road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling on the N68 between 1am and 5am on Friday make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
