Small businesses can apply to Storm Bert flood damage fund for an extra week, says minister

The Emergency Humanitarian Support Scheme will assist small businesses, sports clubs, and community organizations affected by flooding, offering substantial financial support for damages.

Mr. Burke emphasized, 'We are keeping the scheme open to allow extra time for those affected by Storm Bert to finalize their application' to ease the burden.

The funds range from €5,000 to €20,000 based on damage severity. A first payment of €5,000 is expedited, followed by further assessment.

The Irish Red Cross administers the scheme on behalf of the government, providing a vital lifeline to those impacted by Storm Bert.
