Store security video catches NYC slip-and-fall scammer red-handed: 'I want to put this guy in jail'
Briefly

A Bronx supermarket owner, Miguel Luna, revealed how a slip-and-fall scammer, Felix Del Aguila, attempted to sue the store after staged injuries from a spill. Security footage showed Del Aguila spilling water and then pretending to fall while shoppers assisted him, which raised suspicions. Following the incident, his lawyer has abandoned the case, as evidence contradicted Del Aguila's claims, prompting Luna to seek justice to prevent similar scams affecting businesses and consumers alike.
"This would cause me to raise my prices. But I don't want to do that. I don't want my people to pay more," said Miguel Luna, owner of Fine Fare supermarket.
"I want to put this guy in jail. This will help everybody, because they are going to try this at other stores, not only supermarkets because it's easy money," Luna added.
"He did not look like he was hurt to me. It seemed he just wanted to leave. He didn't call for an ambulance, the police," said store manager Jeovany Perez.
"When I checked, I saw what happened. Maybe that's why he wanted to leave fast, because it was a scam," Perez stated.
