The fire resulted in roughly 40 deaths and more than 100 injuries, with injured people including Swiss, French, Italian, Serbian and Polish nationals. Investigators reviewed videos and interviewed witnesses to reach conclusions about the cause. Authorities cautioned that identifying burned bodies requires time and certainty and may take days or weeks.
