Syria: Damascus Airport operational again next week DW 01/04/2025
Briefly

Ashhad al-Salibi stated, "We announce we will start receiving international flights to and from Damascus International Airport from Tuesday, January 7." This announcement comes after months of airport operations being suspended.
Al-Salibi reassured Arab and international airlines, saying, "We have begun the phase of rehabilitating the Aleppo and Damascus airports with our partners' help so that they can welcome flights from all over the world."
Following significant disruption due to vandalism as rebels ousted Bashar Assad, operations at Damascus International Airport are set to resume again after nearly 13 years.
Qatar Airways also confirmed it would resume flights to the Syrian capital starting January 7, marking a significant milestone since the airspace was largely closed.
