Thomas Carpenter, a 41-year-old Florida man, was arrested following a traffic stop where deputies found drug paraphernalia and substances in his vehicle. He was with two children and a female passenger, both of whom admitted to recent drug use. Upon his arrest, deputies discovered 11 bags of methamphetamine concealed in his underwear, totaling approximately 322.1 grams. Carpenter's claim that "there's nothing wrong with drugs" was noted during his booking, which led to multiple charges including amphetamine trafficking and possession without a prescription.
Authorities found a bag full of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, and possible methamphetamine in the car, the sheriff's office said.
While performing a physical search at the station, deputies found 11 small, tied sandwich bags filled with a crystal-like substance stuffed into the front of his underwear.
