The museum, established in 1975 and housing over 15,000 textile pieces, has seen a recent surge of interest, reminding staff of their mission. Challenges following the Covid-19 pandemic have also diminished audience numbers, complicating efforts to sustain operations.
We were already going to close due to the elevator; it’s heartwarming to see interest in the museum amid our challenges.
The museum has faced significant challenges regaining audiences after Covid-19, and we never fully recovered.
