The Dixon Brothers' 'inspiring' 0181 creative hub for young DJs in Sutton
Briefly

Adrian and Justin Dixon, born and raised in Sutton, have established a creative hub at the Throwley Yard Cinema to inspire and mentor aspiring DJs. Having grown up in the UK Garage scene of the late 1990s, the brothers reflect on their journey that transformed them from youth friends to successful DJs. Adrian mentions their experiences in local youth centers and how their friendships cultivated their passions for music. Weaving their separate paths in Birmingham and London, they eventually reunited to bring their talents together, promoting unity and creativity in their hometown.
We formed a clique full of DJs, MCs, beatboxers, and fashion designers. It was at that point we started to figure out what we all wanted to do with our lives.
I realised I wanted to DJ the student parties and that went really well. And I became arguably one of the most sought-after student DJs at that point.
We were DJing apart, and then we realised that it makes more sense for us all to come together. Our family and grandparents had always said to us that we should stick together.
No matter how far their universities were, they always loved and were passionate about Sutton.
