The recent Michelin awards ceremony in Glasgow celebrated the achievements of Lita and AngloThai, each receiving their first star. Lita, a modern European bistro opened by Daniel Koukarskikh, features notable dishes crafted by chef Luke Ahearne, focusing on bold flavors and respect for ingredients. Chef Ahearne expressed profound gratitude for the accolade, highlighting the dedication of his team. AngloThai, led by John Chantarasak, combines Thai culinary techniques with British ingredients, showcasing innovative dishes that have garnered attention for their creativity and flavor, marking a significant moment in the UK culinary scene.
Dreams do come true. I've wanted this since the age of 12; it's an absolute honour to be awarded a Michelin Star. Every dish we serve at Lita is a reflection of our passion for cooking, our respect for ingredients, and our drive to create a unique experience for our guests.
You can certainly expect more than British ingredients simply married with Thai flavours. There are reimagined and innovative dishes aplenty here too.
