Threads is testing expanded trending topics with AI-generated summaries, adding context and improving user engagement by making the app's conversation flow more dynamic.
Adam Mosseri highlighted that the updated trending display will enable users to see more than five topics with descriptions leveraging Meta AI's capabilities.
The revamped search functionality aims to refine the discovery process by introducing additional filters, making it easier for users to find relevant posts on Threads.
Mosseri noted that while the trending topics have always been AI-driven, these updates will align Threads closer to competitors by enhancing context around popular discussions.
