Torani, a beloved Bay Area company known for its flavored lattes, is celebrating its 100th anniversary on National Latte Day. Founded in San Francisco, it began with ice cream sodas before introducing the world's first flavored latte in the 1980s. With over 150 flavor combinations, Torani has expanded significantly over the years, employing around 400 people and distributing its products to over 30 countries. The CEO, Melanie Dulbecco, reveals ambitious plans to double the company's size by 2030, while continuing to prioritize a people-first workplace ethos.
"In our 100 year history, we've never had a layoff, we've maintained a strong commitment to our employees, considering ourselves a 'people first' company."
"The nature of business in the Bay Area over all these years has changed quite a bit but we're very happy to still be manufacturing locally."
