Trackers reveal Cat 3 Hurricane Rafael's potential path to Florida
Briefly

AccuWeather reported that while the probability of Hurricane Rafael making landfall in the US is 'extremely low', Gulf Coast residents should still monitor the forecast for updates.
According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC), the most likely scenario is that a mid-level ridge pushes Rafael westward across the Gulf toward Mexico, moving it away from the US.
The NHC warned that while the lower Florida Keys may experience some fringe impacts such as storm surge, it is not expected to make landfall in Florida.
AccuWeather meteorologists cautioned that despite the low likelihood of landfall, it's 'too early to give the all-clear on tropical impacts along the Gulf Coast', as steering breezes may change.
