Mingyang opened the action with a kick to the body, before chopping at the legs of Ozzy Diaz. Diaz stayed on the outside early, circling, as Zhang Mingyang continued to chop away with kicks.
Just past two minutes in, Zhang Mingyang sat Diaz down with an elbow! The Chinese light heavyweight then swarmed as Diaz tried to get to his knees. Ground n' pound flowed, and the ref waved things off in due course.
"This knockout is for you, for my hometown crowd," Mingyang said following the victory, speaking via a translator with Michael Bisping.
