"We must work without wasting a single day to ensure that there are enough missiles for our air defense systems, and that everything necessary for our protection and for pressure on Russia is in place,"
"It is time Europe made a decision on the frozen assets if Moscow refuses to end its drone and missile strikes. And we must certainly discuss with all partners the steps needed to bring this war to an end."
"about 36 missiles and almost 600 drones against ordinary life"
On November 29 Russia launched about 36 missiles and nearly 600 drones targeting Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine, knocking out power to hundreds of thousands as temperatures begin to plunge. The strikes killed at least three people and wounded dozens. The attacks aimed to damage energy infrastructure amid intense talks over a controversial US-led peace proposal. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for urgent resupply of missiles for air defenses and urged Europe to decide on frozen Russian assets if strikes continue. The attacks followed searches by Ukraine's anti-corruption agencies and the resignation of chief of staff Andriy Yermak amid allegations of siphoning tens of millions intended for energy repairs.
