The armed group M23 has escalated its offensive by entering the city of Goma in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, intensifying fears of an all-out war with neighboring Rwanda. M23, formed from former Tutsi-led rebels, has over 8,000 fighters and is among more than 100 armed groups in eastern DRC.
