According to AccuWeather's Local StormMax feature, snow could accumulate up to 30 inches from northeastern Kansas through northern Missouri to west-central Illinois, with major impacts expected.
Dan DePodwin highlighted that 'this will be an all-hazard storm,' warning of downed tree limbs, power outages, and extremely hazardous travel conditions across affected areas.
The storm will bring temperatures plummeting due to an Arctic outbreak, impacting not just the snow conditions but also creating severe icing from Wichita to Roanoke.
DePodwin advised residents to prepare by stocking up on supplies and to ensure they know how to operate their generators safely given the expected outages.
