"Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the fatal incident that occurred yesterday. Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene at approximately 11.50am. The female driver of one of the cars was brought to University Hospital Limerick, where she was subsequently pronounced dead. A female passenger of the second vehicle, also aged in her 70s, was treated at University Hospital Kerry for non-life-threatening injuries."
"A forensic collision investigation will be carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators (FCI). The road is currently open. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area between 11am and 12 noon on Saturday, October 18 to contact them. Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) from that section of road during the relevant period are also asked to make it available to investigating officers."
At approximately 11.50am on Saturday, October 18, Gardaí and emergency services responded to a collision. The female driver of one car was taken to University Hospital Limerick and was subsequently pronounced dead. A female passenger in the second vehicle, also in her 70s, received treatment at University Hospital Kerry for non-life-threatening injuries. A forensic collision investigation will be carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators (FCI). The road remains open. Gardaí are appealing to anyone travelling in the area between 11am and 12 noon on October 18, and road users with camera or dash-cam footage are asked to make it available to investigating officers or contact Bruff Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line, or any Garda station.
