Woman with 'significant injuries' rescued from Mass. hiking trail

The response to today's incident in Sherborn demonstrates why the departments in our region regularly train together. Personnel from multiple agencies worked together to seamlessly complete the incident objectives.
At 4:19 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the reservation off Forest Street for a report of an injured hiker, according to a statement from the Sherborn Fire & Rescue Department.
Medical interventions began within 18 minutes of the dispatch to the incident. The Sherborn Fire Department drove a UTV about three-quarters of the way to the patient.
The hiker was found about one mile into the woods with "significant injuries," the statement said.
