YouTube TV announced a successful agreement with Paramount, averting a potential disruption of service for its subscribers. Earlier, YouTube TV had expressed intentions to remove Paramount channels, including CBS, CBS Sports, and Nickelodeon, effective February 13 due to contract disputes. However, following negotiations, the deadline was extended, and ultimately, a deal was reached that will allow subscribers uninterrupted access to these channels. YouTube TV emphasized its commitment to providing over 100 channels and enhancing user choice moving forward, also confirming that BET+ would remain available.
"We're happy to share that we've reached a deal to continue carrying Paramount channels, including CBS, CBS Sports, Nickelodeon and more," YouTube TV wrote.
"With this agreement, YouTube TV will continue to offer 100+ channels and add-ons including Paramount+ with SHOWTIME and will enable more user choice in the future."
"To our subscribers, we appreciate your patience while we negotiated on your behalf."
