Alex Stettinski has resigned from his position as CEO of the San Jose Downtown Association after three years of leading efforts to revitalize downtown San Jose. During his tenure, he strengthened relationships with city officials and local business owners, expanded programming, and crafted a strategic vision that enhanced the organization's role as an advocate for the area. Following his departure, the board has appointed Alan "Gumby" Marques as interim CEO, who is expected to continue fostering community commitment while searching for a new, visionary leader.
Stettinski brought energy, creativity and a deep commitment to the vitality of San Jose and helped usher in a new era of creativity.
We will be looking for someone collaborative, visionary and deeply committed to the community... who can be a bold and visible voice for our members.
He deepened relationships with city leaders, property owners and small business owners, expanding programming and sharpening the strategic vision.
