Mizutsune is a newly introduced monster in Monster Hunter Wilds, described as a blend of serpent, fox, and dragon traits. To encounter Mizutsune, players must be Hunter Rank 21 or above and have completed the main campaign. Players will visit Kanya, a fisherman in the Scarlet Forest, who will initiate the quest "Spirit in the Moonlight". After successfully defeating Mizutsune, players will have the option to battle it again and collect materials for crafting its unique armor sets, which are highly sought after in the game.
To unlock Mizutsune, you need to be Hunter Rank 21 or above, have beaten the main story campaign, and reached High Rank.
Once she's done talking, the game will automatically start the "Spirit in the Moonlight" quest. From there you can follow Kanya and she'll lead you to Mizutsune.
