Islam Makhachev dominated Jack Della Maddalena after moving up 15 pounds, completing four of four takedowns and controlling 19:10 minutes in a 25-minute bout. Makhachev neutralized Della Maddalena's scrambling and striking and now faces numerous contenders including Shavkat Rakhmonov, Ian Machado Garry, Carlos Prates, Kamaru Usman, and Michael Morales as potential next opponents.
